John P. came in and said the team was going out for lunch. A change of pace for Green Team - normally doing Domestic Preparedness Training with the 120 largest cities nationwide - Counterterrorism and Consequence Management for terrorist attack scenarios. (DPP) But it was a trip of a lifetime - John P. was a Tomb Guard Sgt. in the Army - a very prestigious position of responsibility - a job that goes on 24/7/365 - even when told they can stand down due to Mother Nature's wrath of hurricanes and the like, they STILL stand guard over our Unknown Soldiers. But we had a tour of the Arlington National Cemetery the average person never sees - the room where only the best train for months before they appear as Tomb Guards - silent, military precision that holds the utmost respect for anyone who watches it - but there is much more there - and we got a guided tour. Please take a trip as we did - and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom - we owe them that respect! Bless the Soldiers who give some much so may may enjoy life... Bring them home safely after they fight to protect others who had no protection from the horrors of war in their homeland, the dictatorship of ignorant and selfish leaders, the misery of poverty, and the fear of the terrorists who have NO REGARD FOR LIFE - When people cannot defend themselves, it is our human nature and our moral duty to help those in need. As natures's wrath of disasters, fires, and other horrors in our life, we all respond to help those in need. War is no different - remember that, and EVERY TIME YOU SEE A SOLDIER - THANK THEM - THEY PROTECT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FREEDOMS!!! Photo Gallery - Arlington Cemetery
